The number one question I get is what camera am I using. For this cruise I am using a Panasonic FZ35 for most pictures

For Underwater Pictures I am using a Canon D10. This is a new camera for me, so hopefully will work! I am also planning on bringing my Sony DSC-HX1 Camera. If you see any panorama shots, it was done wit this one. I think I like the Panasonic FZ35 better, but this one does have some neat features/

I use Photoshop Elements to batch process the photos, resizing them to something more reasonable and also auto-fixing colors, etc.

Books I purchased for the trip. The Revealed books are excellent, perhaps overkill for a cruise. There are more than the two I ordered, but Maui and Oahu are the only ports where we will be for at least 1 night. I will probably take those books. Not sure about the HI by Cruise Ship one, but if not, it does have a map that I will rip out and take so we can stick it on a cabin wall to track our progress. Am thinking about taking the Frommer's book - especially since it was just published.

The waterproof pocket book "Reef Fish Hawaii" is the only one I'll pack for Hawaii. The cruise ship may not have weight restrictions, but the planes to San Diego and return from Honolulu will have weight restrictions. The others will be used for reference after the cruise for the "What the heck was that?" pictures. They are chock full of information, but also weigh a lot more.
