ZydecoCruiser does Belize
On my recent Grand Princess voyage, Belize City was the second stop. Not sure if we were the first ship there, but we sure got there early. Due to the
somewhat strange hours we were there, a ship shore excursion seemed like the best bet. Rays and Reef it was. Gilligan would have been proud.
Tour boats and tenders were lined up bright and early for us.

The tour left directly from and returned to the ship, so we didn't have to tender at all - good thing as it turned out!

Life vests are MANDATORY - not one of my favorite words, but I don't mind.

No, you don't have a choice of color...

We have arrived at the reef part - Horseshoe I believe they said.
Pool is OPEN

I've been to Belize a few times before, and think this part turned out to be the best snorkeling I have ever done in Belize...

Off to stingrays and sharks ?

Took a break to take some pictures of rich folks houses...

Caye Caulker, I believe..

Yo - we were here first (didn't matter)...

I think that is a niece, but then they all look alike to me...

I know that's a niece - and she has a rum punch (included) for moi!

Pre-dance stretching - actually, I think they were playing YMCA.

The boat does seem to be going in circles, but I get to see the rich folk's houses again..

Turns out the boat is sort of broken - one engine blown. One to go. I guess instead of chance it getting back, we stay near some landmarks and radio (more likely phone) for help. Rescue boat on the way so time for drinking and dancing...

Of course it's the Electric Slide !!
Don't need no stinking engine...
Rescue boat in sight! Damn - we might have to leave...

Get ready, Get set...
We are now officially engaged to the other boat...

Don't forget the BAR...

Damn, the mother ship is still there.. Getting back late, there was no time to catch a tender to Belize City.
Oh well, guess a photo op for the ship.. er boat!

Guess that's all for now, folks ! (of Belize - next up, Grand Cayman)
