No rain today, unless it occurred before I started moving - which was somewhere around the crack of noon. Up $10 or $20 in the casino and about 1/3 of the way to my 1000 points for $10 cashback - woo hoo!
We set our clocks back an hour tonight, so I think the ship will be on the same time as Grand Cayman when we arrive tomorrow. Shocking to hear of Steve Irwin's death and a little ironic that lots of people will be swimming with stingrays tomorrow. I have seen a number of nervous people asking questions about the stingrays at the tour desk and wouldn't be surprised if there were cancellations. I've been to Stingray Sandbar a number of times so am planning something different this time.
Tonight is the first formal night. Think I will have the West Indian Pumpkin soup, Caesar salad and LOBSTER. Don't think I'll over do it. Don't want to sink tomorrow.
Today, room service called to ask what time I wanted the Canapé plate delivered tomorrow (Platinum perk and Grand Cayman Day), so I guess that would be the norm.
Hey - we made it on TV! We'll at least for the promo trying to sell DVDs of the voyage. It never hurts to wave at the camera.
Several different groups on the cruise:
Just kind of a lazy day @ sea..
The inventory of swag in the cabin goody basket- somewhat different from last time and probably somewhat different from cabin to cabin. This one included 4 (!) disposable razors (2 lady 2 men), and extra bar of oatmeal/something soap, 4 EmergenC packets (2 flavors - great stuff), trial packets of Crest Whitening expressions-assorted flavors, some kind of Dove hair car junk, and a booklet that seemed to be a teaser for 4 women's trash novels coming out shortly.
Didn't seem like much action on the F-Deck, but there were some people.
The library book shelves are only open select hours:
Had to have at least one Rueben with double meat this trip:
There seemed to be plenty of deck chairs, although not plenty of prime time turf. But still free space. In front of Camp Carnival seemed deserted.
and protected from wind
And the slide was of course, open
As the band played on. No dummies, they were in the shade.
Can't forget the atrium or the glass elevators
